The Research Committee
What is the role of the LUMOMAT Research Committee?
The Research Committee serves as the decision‑making body responsible for implementing and overseeing the scientific policy of the EUR LUMOMAT. In this capacity, it carries out strategic missions aimed at strengthening the research dynamic and supporting the scientific development of the EUR.
Its main duties are the following:
Manage scientific project for calls
The Committee designs, launches, and oversees calls for projects aimed at funding doctoral or post‑doctoral contracts
The evaluation of applications is based on external expert reviews in order to ensure a rigorous, impartial process grounded in recognized scientific criteria.
Ensure the follow-up of funded projects
It conducts an annual follow‑up of the projects funded under the calls for proposals. This monitoring makes it possible to verify scientific progress and compliance with the commitments made at the time of selection.
Decide on the allocation of funding for doctoral students
It decides in particular on the awarding of support schemes such as:
- doctoral mobility grants, intended to encourage research stays in France or abroad, or participation in conferences;
- doctoral attractiveness or distinction grants, aimed at strengthening the site's attractiveness or recognizing the scientific commitment of early‑career researchers.
